SHUT... Up!

I recently saw Pixar's new animated movie UP. The critics and audiences seem to unanimously agree that it is a pretty remarkable movie. A certain eloquent movie critic, Carrie Rickey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, to be more specific, declares, "How much do I love this movie? If it were mathematically possible I would give it 5 stars out of 4!"

Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer

Well Carrie, unfortunately I live in physical reality where your mathematical or theoretical abilities to dole out celestial objects to movies of poor taste does not exist. Let me explain:

Gamma, the poor excuse of a bulldog in UP

How can I even for a second continue to watch a movie where an English Bulldog would be subservient to another dog, especially a Doberman Pinscher; everyone knows you can't trust a German leader. Now let's move on to "Gamma's" intellectual capacity... to put it bluntly, he's retarded. He is easily distracted by squirrels, yet when a feast of immense proportions is being prepared by other dogs he does not take part. This is just poor, unrealistic storytelling that constantly pulled me out of the story and could never let me for a second empathize with the old guy and his sidekick, humpty dumpty.

So to you Carrie, and Pixar, sorry for bringing you down off your high house, but MY taste is good, and I like my movies, like I like my meat; gritty and authentic.

Open Letter to the Beef Industry

To The Idiot Whom it May Concern,

For awhile now I have been seeing advertisements saying, "Beef. It's whats for dinner." I couldn't agree more. However, I think for the first in the history of marketing has an industry's approach been to limit the imagination of its consumer and the times beef should be consumed!

Ever hear of steak and eggs?!?! Breakfast? I guess that chicken lay that succulent strip of meat.

How about that delicious juicy roast beef sandwich you had for lunch!?!? Who could imagine?!?!

Or how about a snack?!?!? Ever hear of Beef Jerky?!?!

Imagine if the travel industry had a slogan, "Vacations. Great in May." Or if the movie studios started to say, "Our Movie. See it on Mondays." Open your minds and picture the wonders of incorporating beef into every meal. I practice, start preaching.

Your Welcome,

Yankee

P.S. If any management positions open up I am available.

Nouveaux mots en français!!!

I may be an English Bulldog, but I know a lot of words and phrases in French. For instance:

Au
Jus - with juice (usually a beef broth)
Béchemal - a roux-thickened sauce flavored with onion, cloves and bay leaf

The Dog Whisperer. Turn Him Off.

"Whisperer"?!?!?!? A ridiculous name for this show. All I have seen is the use of brunt force trauma to curb the rights of free dogs to bark a little extra and just generally do what they want. My first beef is with you Cesar Milan! and I have noticed you have a little problem with Bulldogs, well at least 1 breed can see through your web of whispered lies!

Dogs everywhere. Turn him off!
